We would love to have you join us at English
Oaks for worship this Sabbath!  English Oaks is a warm, friendly, and safe place to be!  It is a place where you will get to know Jesus and discover how important He can be in your life.  We would like for your experience at English Oaks to be inspiring and uplifting. Our website may also serve as your Church online all week long!  If you enjoy Christian TV and radio, you will find it here.  If you would like to dig into God's Word, there are Bible Lessons you may fill out online and Bible tools to help you in your study.  And for the children and youth there are many additional activities.  There is also a place to submit your prayer requests.  So enjoy this special site all the time.

We hope to see you soon.

Thoughts for the Day

Sticks and Stones

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." Sound familiar? But it isn't true, is it? Words do hurt. In fact, a cut or scrape of the skin will heal, but wounds caused by words can last a lifetime.

Back-to-School Breeze

The transition between summer and a new school year can be difficult for both children and parents. Even children who are eager to return to class must adjust to the greater levels of activity, structure, and even pressures...

Fun Work

"Daddy, have a fun time at work," yelled my son as he waved toward a car disappearing around the corner. I smiled, knowing he was copying what I say to him before school each day. And then I realized, with amazement...

Respect

Are you as respectful to your mate as you would be to a stranger? Patterns of communication with a spouse sometimes don't adequately reflect the caring that couples feel for each other.

Sibling Admiration

When I was growing up, my younger brother and I fought all the time. We loved each other, and as adults we are close friends, but boy, did we fight. Looking back, I am sometimes surprised we both survived to be adults.
